Ever wondered how many divorces in America are the result of a cheating spouse?

Well, according to the American Psychological Association, 20-40% of all divorces are due to infidelity.

Overall, studies show that about one-fifth of guys admit to cheating and 13% of girls admit the same.

Numerous studies have also shown in the past that cheating adults are much more likely to be divorced or separated than those that don’t–obvious, right?

To dig into the numbers a little bit deeper, two-fifths of those who admitted to cheating are currently divorced or separated.

Only 17% of those who said they have been faithful are currently split–76% are still married.

On the other hand, only 50% of cheaters are still married.

Divorce lawyers in Thailand assist in both contested and uncontested divorces as well as other aspects of a split such as child custody.

The stats show that although cheating is definitely more likely to cause a divorce, it is not technically a dealbreaker for many couples.

The studies also show that as women have become more financially independent and social roles and attitudes have changed, both the number of women who cheat as well as file for divorce has risen.
